Bardo, a new small plates restaurant, is coming to South End’s Gold District

Add another restaurant to the Gold District’s expanding lineup.

Bardo, a small plates concept from co-owners Jayson Whiteside and Chef Michael Noll, signed a lease last week for a space at the corner of S. Mint Street and W. Summit Avenue.

The block is very active right now. Yume Bistro, a ramen bar with a cult following in Matthews, signed a lease on the space next door, and a bodega will be opening across the street.

Bardo will feature an open kitchen concept and a seasonal “progressive American” menu served small plate-style.

Plates will be priced in the $7 – $27 range.

Bardo joins an influx of openings in the Gold District, the area just south of Uptown between Winnifred Street and the railroad tracks.

The district is home to other popular spots like Craft Tasting Room, Seoul Food Meat Co., Firehouse, Bulldog Beer and Wine and Palmer St. Game Bar.
