Lake Norman’s largest yacht launched late last month after nearly three years in the works.
Carolina Grace, the winning submission from fans in a “Name That Yacht” contest, made the long journey from a manufacturing site on Lake Cumberland in Kentucky to her permanent home on Lake Norman.
The yacht is so large, it was delivered in two huge pieces and then reassembled upon arrival.
Here’s a look at it leaving the factory in Kentucky:
The 100-foot luxury yacht features two bars, four bathrooms, administrative offices and space to accommodate up to 150 guests.
It was essentially designed as a floating event venue, including a catering kitchen and a bridal suite for weddings.
Carolina Grace is available for private parties, corporate functions and charity events, and yes, you can swim off the back so maybe sneak a swimsuit under your formal attire if you ever get an invite.
In addition to private events, Carolina Grace launched Charters for Charity, the vessel’s non-profit arm that raises funds for local charitable organizations.
Identified partner charities receive an all-expense-paid fundraising event aboard the yacht and get to keep 100% of profits generated by the event.
