The weather’s great and you just want to be out and about with your dog? I get that.

Here are five events neither of you should miss, sorted chronologically so you won’t miss any of them.

Pet Adoption and Animal Kneads Day

August 10 | Sycamore Brewing | 6 to 8 p.m. | Free

Glory Days Apparel, CMPD, We Are OneCharlotte and Sycamore will flood the patio with adoptable dogs, vendors and carbs. Donate $10 and get a free loaf of bread from Great Harvest Bread Co. 100% of proceeds go toward Animal Care & Control’s Annual Spay/Neuter Fundraiser, which provides free surgeries for pet owners in Charlotte. 35th Anniversary Pawty (In Dog Years)

August 12 | Lucky Dog Bark & Brew LKN | Noon to 11 p.m. | Free 

Help celebrate the Charlotte staple’s 35th in dog years, 5th in human, anniversary with drink specials, live music, food trucks, giveaways and more. Look for $3.50 pints, $5 Lucky Cocktails and $5 wines all day. Details.

Photo Shoot Fundraiser for Humane Society Charlotte

August 25 | Lucky Dog Bark & Brew CLT | 5 to 8 p.m. | $35

AGoldPhoto will be on-site and taking professional grade photos of your dog. The sitting fee is $35, all of which benefits the Humane Society, and you’ll receive a gallery of photos to choose from, with a minimum order of 3 digital photos for $20 each. Details.

Hops, Hounds and First Downs

August 26 | Lucky Dog Bark & Brew CLT | 2 to 5 p.m. | Free

Lucky Dog has teamed up with St. Francis Farm Animal Sanctuary, a 501c3 animal sanctuary for animals with health or behavioral issues that render them unable to adapt to a normal home, to kick off football season. Expect raffles, giveaways and dogs in football and cheer uniforms. Details

Bark in the Ballpark

August 28 | BB&T Ballpark | 7:05 p.m. | $8+ | Tickets

America’s favorite past time and America’s favorite animal: The Knights will face the Durham Bulls, and you and your dog watch together. When you buy tickets, make sure you snag them for the concourse and lower seating. Details.
