Sycamore Brewing Beer Garden Concerts: Enjoy a beer (or wine!) and some live music outside at Sycamore. Bands playing each day Thursday through Sunday. Bands and times.

HEX Coffee: Haven’t tried HEX’s coffee and waffles yet? You’re missing out. They’re popping up again this weekend at The Beer Growler in South End, so now’s your chance. Saturday, 7/11; 10am-1pm. 


Wooden Robot Brewery Grand Opening
Although Wooden Robot has been pouring beers to “insiders” for a week or so, they will officially be open this weekend and will be tapping four more beers to celebrate. Roots Farm food truck will be roasting oysters from 4-9pm. Saturday, 7/11; 2-10pm.

Fillmore Craft Sessions: This craft beer festival features 40 breweries, including seven from Charlotte. Saturday, 7/11; 5-9pm. $42 – tickets.

The Off-Road Championship at Charlotte Motor Speedway: This off-road truck racing series bridges the gap between extreme sports and traditional racing with an edge not found in other forms of motorsports. $15-$40 – tickets. Children under 12 get in free. Friday, 7/10 and Saturday, 7/11.

Barn Stock BYOB Music Fest: This music festival featuring two stages and a silent disco donates $50K to nonprofits. Line up includes Simplified, Shinobi Ninja, Kyle Biddy, Jason Wiggz, Shogun, Slam Duncan and Justin Cross. Saturday, 7/11 in Huntersville. Tickets

Mixology Lab with Bob Peters: Learn the secret to mixing punch from the master himself this Saturday at Earl’s Grocery. Saturday, 7/11; 2:30pm.

Dive-in Movie at Carowinds: Carowinds kicks off their family-friendly, summer series of dive-in movies this weekend with Despicable Me. Saturday, 7/11; 8:30pm. 

Joedance Film Festival reception: Meet the filmmakers and mingle with other film festival supporters at Dandelion Market when the Joedance Film Festival announces their 2015 selections. Sunday, 7/12; 4-6pm. 

Concert benefitting Joe Borruso: Neighborhood Theatre and MaxxMusic present a concert benefitting Charlotte artist Joe Borruso who was critically injured by a drunk driverSunday, 7/12; 6pm. $20-30 – tickets
