It’s time to bust out the Easter baskets and pick out those cute outfits for egg hunting!

With Easter around the corner (April 16), browse these Charlotte area hunts and family-friendly activities for a weekend of fun.

Naturalist Egg Hunt

Date: April 1 at 10 a.m.
Location: Wing Haven, 260 Ridgewood Ave.
Details: Celebrate the spring season with a naturalist egg hunt, bird spotting in the garden, crafts and light refreshments. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Registration required.

Pritchard Memorial Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 1 at 11 a.m.
Location: Pritchard Memorial, 1117 South Blvd.
Details: Free. Games, egg hunts, face painting and crafts.

Easter Eggstravagaza

Date: April 8, noon
Location: Stumptown Park, South Trade Street, Matthews
Details: Free (12 and under). Pictures with the Easter Bunny, refreshments, egg hunts and music.

Carmel Presbyterian Church’s Easter Eggstravaganza

Date: April 8 at 11 a.m.
Location: Carmel Presbyterian Church, 2048 Carmel Road
Details: Free. Easter story, egg hunt, petting zoo and bounce house.

Zetas of Charlotte Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 8 at noon
Location: Zetas of Charlotte House, 4248 Beatties Ford Road
Details: Free. Egg hunt, photos with the Easter bunny and other kid’s activities.

Hosanna: An Easter Celebration

Date: April 8 at 10 a.m.
Location: Billy Graham Library, 4330 Westmont Drive
Details: $5 per person. Event includes a craft and baby farm animals.

Historic Rosedale Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 8 at 10 a.m.
Location: Historic Rosedale Plantation, 3427 N. Tryon St.
Details: Cost is $10 per child. Explore the gardens and hunt for Easter eggs among the boxwoods.

Visit with the Easter Bunny

Date: April 8, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Location: Stonecrest at Piper Glen, 7832 Rea Road
Details: Take a picture with the Easter bunny, and enjoy kids crafts, cookies and punch.

Hop Into Spring

Date: April 8, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Location: Robbins Park, 17500 West Catawba Avenue, Cornelius
Details: Ages 3-12. Egg-themed activities, arts and crafts, inflatables and other activities. Concessions available for purchase.

Lazy 5 Ranch Easter Eggstravaganza

Date: April 8 and 15
Location: Lazy 5 Ranch, 15100 Mooresville Road
Details: Egg drop at various times. Other activities include a coloring contest and scavenger hunt. Cash only. Admission is $8-$11.

Ballantyne Village Easter Celebration Party

Date: April 8 at 1 p.m.
Location: Ballantyne Village, 14825 Ballantyne Village Way
Details: Visit with the Easter Bunny, face paintings, crafts and live bunnies.

Adventure Landing Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 8 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Location: Adventure Landing, 10400 Cadillac St., Pineville
Details: $3 per child donation to Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Foundation. Charity raffle held after egg hunts.

Eggnormous Twilight Easter Scramble

Date: April 14, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Harrisburg Park: 191 Sims Parkway, Harrisburg
Details: Times vary for egg hunts (by age). Crafts, inflatables and food vendors also available.

Hodges Farm Spring Fling and Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 14 and 15
Location: 3900 Rocky River Road, Charlotte
Details: Easter Egg hunt available to children ages 2-3 and 4-6 for $5. (Kids must be pre-registered to hunt.) Farm animals on site and other children’s activities will be provided.

Christ South Community Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 15 at 2 p.m.
Location: Polo Ridge Elementary School, 11830 Tom Short Road
Details: Free. Event includes a bounce house, firetruck, snacks and music.

Easter Hoppenings at Phillips Place

Date: April 15 at 1 p.m.
Location: Phillips Place, 6800 Phillips Place Court
Details: Event includes a visit from the Easter bunny, face painting and a balloon artist.

Latta Easter Egg Hunt

Date: April 15, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Historic Latta Plantation, 5225 Sample Rd, Huntersville
Details: Registration opens April 1 (usually a small fee, but not listed yet). Event also includes storytime and crafts.

Uptown Church Egg Hunt

Date: April 15, 10 a.m.-noon
Location: Independence Park, 300 Hawthorne Lane
Details: Egg hunt, face painting and doughnuts.
