SEED20, an annual pitch competition for nonprofit organizations, named its top 10 finalists Friday night.
The program, an initiative of Social Venture Partners (SVP) Charlotte, selects 20 nonprofit participants to take part in two months of training, coaching, feedback and mentoring.
That preparation culminates in an on-stage competition where 10 finalists present fast-paced 3-minute pitches in front of a live audience. This year, they’re competing for more than $45,000 in cash prizes — $20,000 grand prize, $12,500 second place, $7,500 third place and $5,000 coaches’ award.
New to the prize lineup this year is an additional $1,000 that will awarded to the organization that garners the most support in an online community vote. Starting today, you can visit seed20.org/vote to cast one vote per day for your favorite organization.
SEED20 On Stage will take place at Knight Theater on Monday, March 27.
Tickets are $85 and include heavy hors d’oeuvres, meal stations and an open bar.
All 20 participating nonprofits will be featured but only the follow top 10 finalists will take the stage.
