You might not have heard of Domtar, but you’ve certainly seen their products.

South Carolina’s largest company, at $5.3 billion in revenue, has its headquarters right over the state line from Charlotte in Fort Mill. It’s right across from LPL Financial’s new headquarters and the booming Kingsley shopping area.

Put most simply, it’s a paper company.

About half of the company’s sales come from copy paper and similar products. But Domtar also makes specialty paper like Jimmy Johns’ food wrappers, personal care products like diapers and wipes, and about one-third of the paperback books on the New York Times best seller list.

Take a look inside their HQ.

The “old” building was constructed in 1998 as one of the first major employers in Fort Mill.

This new building was constructed three years ago to accommodate growth.

There’s a 1/3 mile loop around the pond that’s a common spot for walk-and-talk meetings

Domtar has a food truck outside every 3-5 days.

There are 11 open positions there right now.

Titles include Sustainability Communications Specialist, Creative Project Manager and Talent Acquisition Partner.
