Northeastern University – Charlotte

D’Amore-McKim School of Business Online MBA | Site

Located at 101 N. Tryon Street, 11th floor Charlotte, NC 28202.

Programs available: Online, or an 8-month Graduate Certificate of Business Administration that blends online and in-person learning at the Charlotte campus.

Average GMAT Score: No GMAT required for the online program

Average age of student: 38

Average number of students admitted per session: N/A.  This program operates on a “carousel” model so students can drop in and out as their schedule permits.

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): $1,600 per credit hour, 50 credit hours

Length of program: Program is structured in 5-week terms (example: there are three terms in a fall semester). Typically, most students complete the full MBA program in 2-3 years.

Graduation rate: N/A

Sample of jobs attained post-grad: Executive Director, Senior Project Manager, Regional Controller, R&D Director, VP of Finance


Pfeiffer University, Charlotte

Pfeiffer University, MBA Program | Site

Located at 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Charlotte, NC; 28209.

Programs available: Blend of online and classroom sessions.

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): $668 per credit hour, 32 credit hour program.

Length of program: Students generally complete the program in two years.


Queens University of Charlotte

Located at 1900 Selwyn Avenue Charlotte, NC 28209.

Programs available: The “Flexible MBA” program combines online classes with in-person sessions.

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): $1,133 per credit hour, 36 credit hours.

Length of program: Generally about two years.

Strayer University, MBA Program | Site

Located at 9101 Kings Parade Boulevard #200, Charlotte, NC 28273.

Programs available: There are three programs. The traditional Strayer MBA blends online and in-person classes. There is also the Digital Entrepreneurship MBA and the Jack Welch Management Institute MBA, which are online.

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): The traditional MBA costs $2,465 per course, with 12 courses required. The digital entrepreneurship option costs $2,955 per course with 12 courses required. The Jack Welsh MBA is $3,650 per course with 12 courses required.

Length of program: 54 months

Graduation rate: 43% for traditional MBA


University of North Carolina – Charlotte

Belk College of Business, MBA Program | Site

Located at 320 East 9th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Programs available: Flexible scheduling allowing for full-time or part-time enrollment.

Average GMAT Score: 607

Average age of student: 27-30

Average number of students: About 270 at one time.

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): Full-time students will pay roughly $18,000. Part-time students will pay about $26,000.

Length of program: 2-3 years with an accelerated 17-month option available.

Graduation rate: 90%

Wake Forest University – Charlotte

Wake Forest University in Charlotte, MBA Program  | Site

Located at 200 North College Street, Suite 150, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Programs available: 2 part-time programs: Evening MBA, which meets two nights per week, and the Saturday MBA, which meets 37 Saturdays out of the year.

Average GMAT Score: 617 for the evening program, 592 for the Saturday program.

Average age of student: 32

Average number of students admitted per session: 50-60

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): $13,373 per semester, for six semesters

Length of program: Two years

Wingate University, MBA Program | Site

Programs available: Part-time. Classes are held weekday evenings.

Average age of student: 30-35

Average number of students admitted per session: 140-150

Darla Moore School of Business, Professional MBA | Site

Located at the BB&T Center, 200 S. College St., Suite 110, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Programs available: Professional MBA (part-time)

Average GMAT Score: 607

Average age of student: 33

Average number of students admitted per session: 20-24 (New students are admitted in January and August)

Approximate tuition (not including books, etc): $741 per credit hour, 48 credit hours.

Length of program: 28 months

Graduation rate: 98%

Sample of jobs attained post-grad: Most of the students stay with their current employers and are looking to move up within the organization.
