• Vegetable balls served with quinoa-bean chili, french fries, a bowl of tomato veggie soup, & pear cider • from @IKEAUSA • . Stopped by #IKEAcharlotte with @dingus_falcon this weekend and FINALLY got to check out their #veganmeatballs. I’ve seen a few variations, but these ones were served with a chili sauce. . And the verdict is… they were great I’ll even consider buying some frozen ones next time around. Probably overshot it with this meal – I had to take almost all the soup to go. I wanted to try all the #veganfriendly options, but this food is hearty as heck. Also, the pear drink was really too sweet for me (and actually 1% alcohol? ) – next time I’ll probably just get water. . So glad IKEA chose to add in these #veganoptions – I’ll for sure stop by the cafeteria next time around. You need to fuel up to make it through the whole store.

• Deviled Potatoes { baked & halved Yukon potatoes | filled with a blend of chickpeas, Dijon mustard, lemon, + spices | sprinkled with paprika & green onion } • original recipe by @isachandra of #PostPunkKitchen • : @dingus_falcon • Made these #eggfree #deviledpotatoes for a mini #veganpotluck hosted by Maya & Emre of @thedreamyleaf. Enjoyed some amazing food, including yummy enchiladas by @leah_dor, and unparalleled company. I had seen this #vegan rendition of #deviledeggs floating around for some time and wanted to give it a try. These #fauxeggs were made using a recipe from the #PPK. I’ve been using their #veganrecipes for years, a highly recommended #vegancooking resource! Sub-ed #chickpeas for the soaked cashews (time constraints), but next time I want to give the true recipe a try. A silly, tasty, conversation-starting hors d’oeuvre for summer parties!
