Davidson has partnered with a technology firm to offer an intensive coding and software development course to students and recent graduates (classes of 2015 and 2016) of any background, free of charge.

The program, RevaturePro, is the flagship training program of Revature, which develops technology talent and software. This deal is the company’s first step in launching a technology-centric career for students.

The self-paced program comprises 18 courses and offers all levels of experience with coursework that incorporates real life projects, mentoring and certification possibilities. To date, more than 5,000 people have participated in the program with a combined 4,000+ hours of learning and project development.

Upon completion of the program, which will allow students to venture into the world of coding with a solid foundation, students will be eligible to apply for the next step in the Revature process, an on-site bootcamp, in Reston, Virginia.

The RevaturePro Bootcamp is a free 12-week program that includes travel, housing and a stipend. Students who complete it successfully are guaranteed a job at Revature, which is practically unheard of.

The course will begin this fall.
