South Enders have been anxious for news of whether their Common Market would find a new home after the location at South Tryon and Camden streets closed.

Common Market was forced out by the impending office tower development that will house the HQ for Dimensional Fund Advisors. It’s the same thing that forced Food Truck Friday to move.

Well, news is coming soon. Common Market has signed a lease for a new location.

That’s what owner Blake Barnes confirmed to me — but he’s not ready to say where just yet. There have been some fits and starts as Common Market has looked for a new home.
