CLT Boutique has officially been rolling through Charlotte for over a week now and if you’re wondering, the concept is as fun as it sounds.
It’s what has lovingly been coined a “glamper,” which perfectly describes the movement to renovate small, vintage campers and make them into small shops. CLT Boutique joins the rest of the mobile shops in Charlotte including Mirror Mirror Mobile, Dress Like A Girl, Curvaceous Closet, The Sole Addiction, Capella, Nomad Common, and The Marketplace. But don’t get confused, this boutique is the first glamper of its kind in Charlotte.
The owner, Britt Misenheimer, prides herself on what the trailer has become.
With a “here today, gone tomorrow” mentality, the camper rolls up to events all over the city and then goes home with Misenheimer at the end of the night. The camper has a schedule of events that seems to pan out weeks in advance. You’ll find the rolling boutique regularly at Friday Night Festival at Unknown Brewing and Front Porch Sundays. She pulls it behind her own truck and sets up by herself.
The other thing you can make sure of with this funky new addition to Charlotte: a great price point.
Everything in the trailer is under $40, including tees, tanks, handmade jewelry, accessories, and Southern-inspired gifts. The camper’s interior accents make you feel like you’re in an actual boutique, with simple wainscoting on the walls and gold accents throughout.
If you’re interested in booking a private party of six or more, email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
