When asked if she had a favorite painting that she’s created, she immediately responded with “yes,” and followed with a story.
It’s her husband, Michael’s, jacket. It’s hung up right when you walking into their house 365 days of the year.
Michael’s jacket, a tan Beretta with an olive green corduroy collar, is about 30 years old as he got it just around the time the two met, and he has worn it with pride on countless occasions ever since.

She continued, “I’ve been trying to get rid of this thing for six Christmases. I kept buying him new ones, but he just returned to this one always.”
So Adrian decided, “Hey, I’m not gonna get rid of the thing. I’m gonna honor it.” She put all of its true-to-life character details into the painting, and what it turned out to be is a self portrait of something that is truly loved to death.

Presented as a birthday surprise, she whipped off the bed sheet that was hanging over it to which Michael responded with a hearty laugh that quickly turned to emotion as he saw what she had created.
Adrian laughed, “It didn’t work though- he still wears the jacket.”
