From a rose garden to sand volleyball courts, Independence Park is made for the long strolls in-between gardens and towering trees or activity and fun.
Running along 7th Street and split by Hawthorne Lane, there’s plenty of park to explore, each section offering their own little personality.
On the far end, the walkway to the rose garden weaves between trees that have been on this earth longer than most of us.
Crossing Hawthorne Lane to the other side of the park…
You’ll find a fountain with a gazebo, teams playing sand volleyball, basketball courts, a playground and a baseball field.
It just so happens this park is close to Hawthorne’s Pizza, Sabor Latin Grill and not too far from Elizabeth Creamery, just incase you need fuel after your park adventures.
