Richard’s Coffee Shop and Living History Museum

Address: 165 N. Main Street
The deal: Casual coffee shop filled with American military artifacts donated by veterans who frequent the location. Richard Warren, a Vietnam veteran, originally opened Pat’s Gourmet Coffee Shop across the street in honors of his wife (in what is now Bathtub Gin). Thanks to Richard’s warm welcome and constant support, Pat’s quickly became known as a veteran hangout. Over time, veterans and their families donated artifacts to display in the shop and today it’s as much a museum as it is a coffee shop. It moved to its current location and was renamed Richard’s Coffee Shop following Warren’s death in 2009.
