Hornet’s Nest release: Olde Mecklenburg Brewery releases their summer seasonal at 5 p.m. Friday, 4/15

Berry the Hatchet bottle release and breakfast at Sycamore Brewing: This raspberry stout will be sold for $13 a bottle and will be first come, first served beginning at 9 a.m. The Tin Kitchen will be onsite serving breakfast until noon. Saturday, 4/16

Walk to End Lupus Now: Participate in the 1 mile or 5k walk beginning at CPCC’s King’s Green to raise money for the Lupus Foundation of America. Check-in begins at 3 p.m. and the walks begin at 5 p.m. RegisterSaturday. 4/16

Sports

Baseball: The Knights first weekend at home will feature three games against the Durham Bulls. Friday at 7:05 p.m. (stick around for fireworks after the game!), Saturday at 6:05 p.m. and Sunday at 2:05 p.m. Tickets.

Soccer: The Charlotte Independence hosts the Charleston Battery on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Ramblewood Soccer Complex. Tickets.

Ultimate Frisbee: The Charlotte Express kicks off their season on Saturday at 7 p.m. when they take on the Austin Sol at Irwin Belk Complex at Johnson C. Smith University. Mayor Roberts will do the opening disc toss. Tickets (under 18 gets in free).
