Politics doesn’t have to be only for lifelong politicians.

Our goal in hosting this nerdy event is to uncover the process for getting elected to local office. This is not a talk about policy, this is a talk about the political election process.

Also, Edwin Peacock is very funny and I hope we all give him a hard time about not wearing socks with his loafers to our Mayoral Forum in 2015. I dubbed it #nosockpeacock and I think it cost him the Mayoral election… 🙂

Event: Fireside Chat – How to get into politics w/ Edwin Peacock. Tickets.

Outcome: You’ll walk away with knowledge on how to run for political office in Charlotte and how to organize a basic campaign. This is not a political thing – this is how to file, how party backing works, how to budget for a campaign, how to view polling, etc.

Class size: 40. We believe the smaller the group, the more actionable items you can get.

Presented by: AT&T (AT&T has no political affiliation with anything, so don’t freak out – they’re just our partners for creating meaningful events that drive Charlotte forward.)

Where: Agenda Global HQ (our office is behind Bank of America Stadium, it’s cool and startup-y)
623 S Cedar Street, Suite B, Charlotte, NC 28202

When: Tuesday, April 26. Beverages and chit chat run from 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. Program starts a 7 p.m. and will end promptly at 8 p.m. (30-minute fireside chat and 30 minutes of Q&A).

Cost: $10 for Agenda Members (see code in email we sent), $30 for non-members.

Free items: Shirt or hat and beverages.
