Visiting downtown Fort Mill is the perfect escape for an afternoon from city living. A couple of restaurants, retail shops and a few businesses make up Main Street in Fort Mill. A park sits on the corner and just beyond the park, on a hill, looking downtown, is a bench swing and flower gardens.

This is the place to go for a fresh of breath air for an afternoon.

Local Dish

Local Dish has a rating of 4.8 stars and as one reviewer said, it’s like visiting friends and having a home-cooked meal. The menu items vary from comfort food like chicken pot pie to burgers and sandwiches. I highly recommend getting the hot sausage dip as an appetizer. The chicken wings and turkey sandwich were winners as well.

PuckerButt Pepper Company

This is the place to go if you like spicy. Their owner owns the Guinness World Record for cultivating the hottest pepper: The Carolina Reaper. They offer a lot of products featuring the pepper and seeds for sale.

Crossings on Main

The cutest gift / home décor store. If you’re looking for a new place to buy gifts and new finds to decorate your home, this one is a winner. A lot of unique finds and a short walk from the park.
