This position interfaces with Senior leadership, the Executive Committee, and theBoard of Trustees. They volunteer with: leadership, Foundation Board, direct and indirect staff, investors, and business community leaders

This position is responsible for solidifying a robust and sustainable revenue and engagement model that will help the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance (CLT Alliance) and Charlotte Alliance Foundation deliver on its mission and strategic initiatives:
• Ensuring a sound resource development plan that grows revenue and broadens the base of support for the organization and Foundation’s regional work
• Building thoughtful relationships with existing, new, and prospective investors (ie, customers) through strategic engagement with the CLT Alliance in all interactions

• Designs, manages, and executes a sustainable, seamless revenue model to grow investment for the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance (501c6) and Charlotte Alliance Foundation (501c3)—and reports regularly to CEO, Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and Foundation Board
• Engages and supports executive and volunteer leaders to champion resource development efforts; works across Core, Foundation, Business, and Marketing teams to leverage technology and artificial intelligence to better prospect, cultivate, communicate with, and engage investors
• Creates a robust investor relations onboarding and retention program that fortifies the connection to mission and strategic initiatives, and drives broad support for the CLT Alliance and Foundation within the region
• Cultivates investors by building relationships, regular communications, and thoughtful interactions and engagement
• Leads Investor Relations teams (comprising of Business Development and Engagement) to effectively: a) prospect revenue; b) steward investment through opportunities that align strategic initiatives with investor and philanthropic interests; and c) create dynamic, next-level engagement experiences through an engagement model that solidifies commitment to advancing the CLT Alliance and Foundation’s work
• Works with CFO to prepare forecasts and annual budgeting for all areas of revenue
• Handles all other duties as assigned by the President/CEO


• Experience and ability to interact and influence decision-making at the highest level of management is required
• Motivated by the mission and able to champion and inspire purposeful work
• Proven successful track record in non-profit fundraising, board resource development, customer engagement satisfaction, and building high-performance teams
• Strong organizational management, financial acumen, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to effectively manage complex projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• 5+ years leadership experience (or 12+ years’ experience working) in non-profit fundraising for a regional business or industry coalition, chamber, economic development, or philanthropic organization; leadership and/or resource development experience in Charlotte Region a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree
