The RealReal is looking for individuals who have the ability to work with a very discerning clientele and have a passion for luxury products. For this role, you’ll be focused on self-sourcing, referrals, and using leads from the Business Development Representatives (BDR) to drive new business. You’ll be motivated by a desire to win with a strong sense of personal responsibility and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality to push tasks to completion. As a Luxury Manager, you’ll get to work independently to meet with a very discerning clientele, primarily in a virtual environment. You’ll use your strong negotiation skills to drive new business and work autonomously in an ever-evolving environment. Your ability to build rapport will be critical to your success as you work to romanticize the consignment experience with an understanding of luxury products. Your attention to detail will help you successfully navigate multiple platforms. You will hustle to drive the key metrics of the business through new consignor acquisition, unit volume, and value of those units. The Luxury Manager will provide unparalleled service for the country’s largest online luxury consignment marketplace.

• Drive New Business
• Prospect new and existing connections in your network. These include Stylists, personal shoppers, boutique owners, sales associates, and individual consignors
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to continually increase consignment with The RealReal
• Meet the monthly KPIs for product value and product quantity while maintaining focus on a premier luxury product
• Review contract during virtual and in-home appointments
• Partner with the team for a seamless handoff of consignor to Account Luxury Manager at Day 30 to help continue building strong relationship with TRR for continued business + referrals
• Provide customer service issue resolution
• Proactively resolve any consignor issues/concerns
• Set pricing expectations through deep knowledge of luxury and stay up-to-date on resale trends + what has low/high resale value
• Carefully review + process all items for shipment to ensure everything is cataloged + up to TRR’s high-quality standards
• Possess a strong ability to multitask
• Balance appointments, outreach, prospecting, and customer service issues
• Availability evenings and weekends, to accommodate appointment requests

• Relationships with a large number of connections who you could immediately convert to consignors is a must. You should also have a very strong network of professional or personal contacts who could also yield additional consignors
• 5+ years of work experience in outside sales, wholesale, luxury retail, styling, or public relations
• A strong sales ability and mentality paired with an entrepreneurial spirit
• A high degree of business acumen, sophistication, and the ability to establish trust is mission-critical. This position requires the person to work directly with a very discriminating clientele
• Demonstrated track record of meeting & exceeding monthly goals
• Critical knowledge of luxury brands. Great attention to detail and customer service
• Ability to master multiple technical devices and systems
• Ability to work nights/weekends when needed to accommodate the client’s request for an appointment
