The Agenda Weekender is proudly presented by Speedway Drive-Ins. This summer Charlotte Motor Speedway is hosting drive-in movies every Wednesday night. Catch “Ice Age – Continental Drift” on July 22. Admission is $30 per car. Snag a ticket.


FRIDAY, JULY 17

Ladies of Lineage Sample Sale: From now through August 28, you can schedule a private appointment to scope out deeply discounted wedding dresses from Ladies of Lineage. Virtual Pride Week 2.0, online: Following a week of LGTBQ+ celebrations, expect a virtual dance party with DJ Fannie Mae streaming live Friday night. 7 p.m. Free. Details.

CLT Art & Sole: For next four Fridays, you’ll be able to take a guided walking (or running) art tour of Charlotte using the RunGo app. There will be three distance options each week — short (1-2 miles), medium (3-4 miles), or long (5-7 miles) — to choose from. $35. Details.

Paddle to Table at the U.S. National Whitewater Center: For $55, you get a guided flatwater paddle on the Catawba River and a chef-driven outdoor dining experience. 6:30 p.m. $55. Details.

Comedian Sid Davis at Truist Field: Who doesn’t need some comedic relief right now? See Comedian Sid Davis live at the ballpark. 7:30 p.m. $20-$35. Details.

Summer Drive-In Movies at Rural Hill: Need cheap family plans? For $5, you can take a carload of people to see “Sonic The Hedgehog” at Rural Hill. There will be concessions too, including beer and wine. 7 p.m. $5. Details.

Drive-In Movie at Oak Street Mill: Load up the car with your quarantine crew and lots of snacks to see “Grease” drive-in style. 8:15 p.m. There’s a waitlist for tickets to this showing. Details.

SATURDAY, JULY 18

Terence Young at Middle C Jazz: Catch a live performance from the Middle C patio, or stream from home. 7:15 p.m. In-person seats are $28, streaming is free (or you can donate). Details.

Drive-In Movie at Lake Norman YMCA: Need another activity for the kiddos? Take them to see “Sonic the Hedgehog” for a drive-in movie. $15+. Details.

Virtual Pride Week 2.0, online: The week’s final virtual pride event is a virtual pride expo, showcasing Black LGBTQ and affirming businesses. 1 p.m. Free. Details.

Uptown Farmers Market: There’s nothing like summertime produce, and we can shop the Uptown farmers’ market again. Due to COVID it looks a little different this year — you must wear a mask, vendors are 20 feet apart, traffic flows one way, and they have hand-sanitizing stations. 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free. Details.

Saturday Morning Stretch, online: Let the stress of your week go with a morning flow led by The Yoga Dude. 10 a.m. Donate what you can, if you can. Details.

Botanical Macro Photography with your Smartphone, online: Learn how to hone your phone photography skills when it comes to capturing nature. You’ll get a special lens before class that’s yours to keep. 10 a.m. to noon. $25. Details.

Yoga at The Farm at Hodges Family Farm and Pumpkin Patch: If there’s anywhere you can social distance, it’s a farm. Take an hour-long yoga class and get out of the city for a while. 8 a.m. $10. Details.
