Oversee the daily clinical operations, staffing, and equipment of the Imaging and Radiology Department to ensure quality care to the patients and support for the physicians by overseeing the team who provides medical treatment and care services to patients by performing duties within the scope of the policy and procedures defined by Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat Associates.

• Ensure patient encounters are properly documented in accordance with CEENTA’s compliance guidelines in electronic medical record software in a timely manner
• Maintain OSHA standards to ensure sterilized and safe environment.
• Maintain CEENTA Compliance standards for patient demographics and medical information
• Oversee patient education & educational materials
• Ensure appropriate research protocols are followed by imaging staff
• Evaluate practice performance using various reports and data to make recommendations on how to improve or maintain individual physician’s practice and the practice as a whole.
• Assist interviewing, train new employees and coach current employees to perform up to expectations.
• Reviews and maintains compliance of CEENTA policies to maintain optimal care management.
• Participates on key project teams and consults with management to ensure department complies with all federal OSHA including equipment maintenance and inspection guidelines, appropriate risk management practices to ensure efficient, safe maintenance and growth of the department at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat and its affiliates.
• Point person for both the Imaging equipment and software vendors to assist in troubleshooting as needed
• Develop and oversee weekly staffing schedule for over a dozen physician practices’ visual imaging staff to ensure adequate patient access, efficient throughput, and optimal utilization of equipment.
• Assess workflow efficiency improvements for visual imaging processes and staff
• A strong working and technical knowledge of various visual imaging and diagnostic machines and the IT integration required for ongoing use and maintenance
• Effective and collaborative communication skills for regular, pertinent communication with staff, physicians, managerial colleagues, and senior leadership.
• Strong initiative to develop direct reports and continuously improve the areas of oversight

• Carries out supervisory and managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with interviews, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Effectively communicates with physicians, practice managers, and leadership; deriving improvement projects for an exceptional patient experience, improved workflow efficiency, and optimal utilization of resources. Contribution to and attendance at relevant committees.
• Two-year applicable degree and/or certifications and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience preferably in a supervisory role.
• Ability to develop procedures and processes in accordance with CEENTA standards utilizing: (may vary by specialty and/ or physician)
• Network computer software applications, practice management software and applicable electronic medical record software.
• Ability to develop procedures and processes in accordance with CEENTA standards utilizing: (may vary by specialty and/ or physician)
• Experience with any of the following imaging equipment preferred: CT, MRI, X-ray, Humphrey Visual Field machine (standard automated perimetry), Goldman Visual Field (manual perimetry), A- Scan, OCT immersion and non-immersion (scan retina, macula, optic disc), Topography measurements (tms-4 or pentacam), Fundus camera, Fundus fluorescein angiography
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos and appropriate document patient encounter within scope of responsibility. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
