Details: The food hall is opening with precautions in place, like social distancing markers on the floor and limited occupancy. If you’re uncomfortable dining in, order to-go and have a picnic at home.

Oysters 101 | Workshop Livestream

Virtual | 6-7:30 p.m. | $65 | Details

Details: For this virtual cooking class, you’ll learn how to shuck and prepare your own oysters. For $65, you get a prepared appetizer, a dozen oysters, choice of canned beer or wine, and a branded shucking knife to keep, and the class, of course.

Master the At-Home Blowout with SkillPop

Virtual | 5-6:30 p.m. | $20 | Details

Details: I know I feel more confident when I put in a little effort. Plus, if you learn how to do a blowout at home, it’ll save you money and time.

Good Food on Montford, Barrington’s, and Stagioni reopening

Details: Three of Bruce Moffett’s restaurants are opening for dine-in this week, with limited hours and seating capacity. Take your pick between Good Food on Montford, Barrington’s, and Stagioni. Or hit up all three if you’re feeling ambitious.

TUESDAY, JUNE 2

Tom Petty Tuesday with Josh Daniel

Details: Josh Daniel is on day 78 of his nightly virtual concerts. Show some support and tune in for Tom Petty Tuesday. (Quick story: My brother and I used to scream-sing “running down the drain” when we were little. Turns out, those aren’t the words to Petty’s “Runnin’ Down a Dream.”)

Details: There’s nothing like farm-fresh foods, especially what’s in season now. Mask wearing is encouraged if you go.

Bardo reopening

1508 S. Mint St. | 5 p.m. | Menu prices | Details

Details: Must-try dishes include oysters ($18), grouper ($17), and dry-aged ribeye ($23). There are only 12 dishes on the menu and a few dessert options. Portions are small, but the food is outstanding. Call 980.585.2433 or go to Resy for dine-in reservations.

Kindred reopening

131 N. Main St. Davidson, | 5 p.m. | Menu prices | Details

Details: Definitely order crispy oysters with dill yogurt and Calabrian chile oil ($12) and milk bread. You can make a reservation through Resy. They’re doing three seatings at 5 p.m., 7 p.m., and 9 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3

Haymaker reopening

225 S. Poplar St. | 5 p.m. | Menu prices | Details

Details: Put on real clothes (not just your daytime pajamas) and treat yourself to a farm-focused dinner. You can make a reservation here.

THURSDAY, JUNE 4

CLT After Dark

Online | 10 p.m. | Free | Details

Details: The new weekly variety show features various talented Charlotteans and celebrities showing off their talents, like music, comedy, theater, and dance.

Get Started Running with SkillPop

Online | 5-6:30 p.m. | $15 | Details

Details: Calling all aspiring runners. This SkillPop class with teach you the basics, like what to wear and goal-setting so you can work your way to a 5K. It’s for true beginners, like myself.

The Fig Tree reopening

1601 E. 7th St. | 5 p.m. | Menu prices | Details

Details: If you go, try Fig Tree’s famous elk chop — grilled New Zealand elk chop over horseradish spaetzle with smoked bacon-braized purple cabbage and boursin-dijon sauce. You can make a reservation here.

FRIDAY, JUNE 5

Yoga Slow Flow and Stretch

Details: Unwind with an hour-long slow flow yoga class, led by The Yoga Dude over Zoom. Pay what you can, if you can.
