FRIDAY, MAY 29

Hound’s Drive-In Double Feature Weekend: Go with the family-friendly options of Shrek and Dolittle or pull up for scary movies The Wretched and We Summon the Darkness. Movies begin at dusk. $20 per car. Details.

Keep Pounding 5K: The 10th annual Keep Pounding 5K (happening virtually this year) will benefit the Levine Cancer Institute and Levine Children’s Hospital patients and survivors. Teams and individuals can register to run or donate to the cause. Submit your time when finished (the race is open through May 31). $30 to run. Details.

ZOOM Trivia & Virtual Pub: Even if you’re still uneasy about socializing in person, there are still virtual ways to stay connected, like Zoom trivia. 7:30 p.m. Free, donations accepted. Details.

Middle C Jazz reopening: Middle C Jazz Club is reopening, starting with a performance by the Robyn Springer Quartet. Get dressed up and make it a date night. 7:30 p.m. $20-$40. Details.

Credit Card Essentials with SkillPop: Debt isn’t the sexiest topic but credit is everything. Learn how to pay off your cards, build better money habits, and meet your financial goals. Noon to 1:30 p.m. $20. Details.

Basic Watercolor Techniques with SkillPop: I’ve been working on a single painting since week one of work from home (spoiler alert: it’s not going well). If you’re in the same boat, take a virtual art lesson. 5-6:30 p.m. $20. Details.

Cocktail kits and charcuterie from Dot Dot Dot: Charcuterie boards and cocktail kits are available Thursday-Sunday only (hello, weekend at-home date night). 3-7 p.m. $17-$25. Details.

Yoga Slow Flow and Stretch: Unwind with an hour-long slow flow yoga class, led by The Yoga Dude over Zoom. Pay what you can, if you can. 3-4 p.m. Details.

Music Anywhere CLT Virtual Concert Series: Tune in to any of the four virtual concerts, including the nightly performance Josh Daniel through Music Anywhere CLT. Varies. Details.

SATURDAY, MAY 30

15-minute Funnies with The Comedy Zone: I’ve never needed a laugh more; thankfully local comedians are doing a virtual show. 8:30 p.m. Donate what you can, if you can. Details.

Uptown Farmers Market: There’s nothing like summertime produce, and we can shop the Uptown farmers’ market again. Due to COVID it looks a little different this year — you must wear a mask, vendors are 20 feet apart, traffic flows one way, and they have hand-sanitizing stations. 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Free. Details.
