We’re excited to announce that Paige Hopkins starts today as a reporter and producer for Charlotte Agenda.
A native of the Charlotte area, Paige joins the team after nearly four years in television news. Most recently, she was a reporter at WYFF in Greenville, South Carolina, where she covered crises like Hurricane Dorian and the current coronavirus pandemic.
Paige is a versatile reporter who brings years of visual storytelling experience to the Agenda. As a reporter and producer, Paige will write as well as produce videos and social media content.
“As our world moves more towards digital platforms, I think it’s time I do too,” Paige says. “I’m so excited to combine my favorite part of TV news (visual storytelling) with a widely respected digital platform that puts its focus on quality work.”
Paige grew up in Marvin, North Carolina, a small Union County town near Ballantyne. She attended UNC Chapel Hill where she studied broadcast and electronic journalism and wrote for The Daily Tar Heel.
Prior to her reporting in Greenville, Paige was a morning anchor at WBOY in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Since leaving North Carolina after college, Paige has wanted to return to her home state and to the city she loves.
In these challenging times, the demand for quality and accurate news has never been greater. Paige will help the Agenda tell more stories in new ways across more platforms.
Welcome back to Charlotte, Paige.
