VP of Bank Channel Sales (HIRED)

The VP of Bank Channel will lead all aspects of the Bank Channel for AvidXchange. AvidXchange is the B2B AP and Payment engine for the Mastercard Hub. Success for the Bank Channel leader will be measured by the ability to effectively grow the network of banks using the Mastercard Hub, build strong relationships positioning AvidXchange as a most trusted partner, and optimize sell through of AvidXchange offerings to banks and their to end-corporate customers.

• Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and P&L objectives
• Jointly work with Mastercard to sign up bank partners using the Mastercard Hub to include all aspects of contract management and partner negotiations
• Size the partner opportunity and build joint strategies to optimize sell through sales to their customers
• Build an effective bank channel organization for sign up, relationship management, sell through, and sales enablement
• Lead the bank channel sales forecasting and budgeting process
• Establish operating mechanisms to manage and capture important VOC learnings
• Lead weekly partner pipeline calls and track progress
• Manage SF process for accurate forecasting & reporting
• Lead and participate in cross functional new bank pipeline reviews in addition to Mastercard planning and pipeline reviews
• Work across the sales organization as a leader to build on best practices and effectively manage channel conflict
• Work cross functionally across AvidXchange to proactively set expectations and dependencies for resource allocation and requirements by bank partners and their customers


• Ability to lead external partner relationships at all levels, grow and scale sales organizations, and effectively work cross functionally to influence internal teams to help rapidly grow the bank channel
• Highly skilled at building relationships with senior decision makers within a channel selling structure
• Ability to understand strategic priorities, business needs, pain points, and opportunities to sell AvidXchange solutions
• Ability to utilize a solution selling approach alongside Bank Partners to advance new customer opportunities with AvidXchange products that match end-customer needs
• Ability to effectively assess and negotiate relationships and contracts while working with senior leaders at AvidXchange
• Ability to establish market leadership as an influential change agent for B2B payments
• 12 years of Sales management and leadership experience- preferably in financial services/ideally Banking/some software
• Success in working with solution partners to enable corporate sales
• Experience with Salesforce.com or other similar customer relationship management (CRM) solutions
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
