Reid’s Fine Foods’ second Uptown location opens today near the Mint Museum, between Fin and Fino and the Starbucks.
It has a full bar with wine, beer, and liquor; breakfast, lunch, and dinner; retail wines and speciality foods; frozen entrees to go; and Saturday brunch.
Layout: The new location can seat 20 people inside and 60 outside on the patio. The patio has a retractable cover, and they’ll add heaters when the weather gets cooler. I love the green French bistro seating — they actually had it shipped in from Europe.
Food + drink: Managing partner Tom Coker says to expect a tapas-style menu, similar to the Selwyn location, and the usual weekly Reid’s specials — including half-priced burgers on Tuesdays, half-priced wine on Wednesdays, and prime rib Thursdays.
The Uptown location will also roll out a special brunch menu that’ll be available 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Hours: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday. The other Uptown location is at 121 West Trade Street.
Here’s a quick look around the new spot.
