90’s Vibes: The Best of Hip Hop and R&B Featuring Orchestra Noir at McGlohan Theatre: This African-American orchestra has been lauded by Vogue Magazine, BET, Oprah’s OWN Network and many black musical artists, and I love the paradox of using classical instruments to explore hip-hop and R&B music for a unique show. 8-10 p.m. $39. Immersed In Light: Studio Drift at the Mint (Uptown): The Mint Museum’s newest exhibition features immersive, illuminated and animated installations that blend art, nature and technology. It’s the first solo museum exhibition outside Europe by Studio Drift, an artist collective based in the Netherlands. 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. $15 (adult non-members). Details.

Hall Family Farm season opening: They’ve got musical hayrides, a five-acre corn maze and a pick-your-own pumpkin patch.There’s also a children’s play area with rubber ducky races, a kid’s corn maze, firetruck and fun slide. And you’ll find farm animals (goat and pig) to feed and seasonal treats like apple cider slushies. Sept. 27.
