Taco Mama, a taqueria concept with 13 locations across the South, is now open in Dilworth near Ru San’s. Expect creative tacos, nachos, burritos, bowls and quesadillas with slow-roasted meats and made-from-scratch sauces. Oh, and made-to-order margaritas too.
“We are very excited about the cool space we have,” said Will Haver, founder and CEO of Taco Mama. “It’s a unique space with a large patio on the back of the restaurant. It’s a perfect space for a fast-casual neighborhood Taqueria.”
Menu: Taco Mama offers eight signature tacos, seven signature burritos and two salads. All dishes except ahi tuna options are under under $10.
Build your own: Taco Mama’s menu also includes build your own tacos, bowls, burritos, nachos and quesadillas with 21 toppings to choose from and seven homemade salsas and dressings.
- Bases: Tacos, nachos, burrito, burrito bowl and quesadillas.
- Meats: Chicken, Barbacoa beef, steak, grilled shrimp, ahi tuna, ground beef, pork, chorizo, flounder and veggie mix.
- Toppings: Cilantro-lime rice, chorizo refried beans, black beans, grilled onions, pickled jalapeños, grilled jalapeños, fresh jalapeños, onions, corn, avocado, pico de gallo, chile slaw, Sriracha slaw, lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheddar, queso fresco and queso.
Margaritas: Frozen, skinny, pomegranate, Mercedes, jalapeño, Prosecco fizz, the real deal, cucumber, blood orange, watermelon, sangarita and sangria.
Sides: Honey chipotle corn, ancho chile slaw, cilantro-lime rice, Mexican mac and cheese, black beans, refried beans, guacamole and queso.
Taco Mama is in a newly built development called Park Square Small Shops. And don’t forget, New York Butcher Shoppe is also now open next door.
