Capishe, a popular fast-casual Italian restaurant with a 4.5 Yelp rating in Dilworth, is opening its second location in South Park in mid-October.
The exact location is 6555 Morrison Blvd. and Bruce Willette, owner of Capishe and previous leader of Salsarita’s, is behind the expansion.
“I have more faith in this than I did Salsarita’s,” Bruce told the Agenda. “To put it simply: Everything is going pretty well so far.”
Bruce said he jumped on the opportunity to expand because the response from Dilworth has been so positive, and they have a ton of customers who’ve suggest a SouthPark location.
“We have had an overwhelming response from our SouthPark guests eager to dine with us closer to home,” Bruce said. “Our strong team strives daily to deliver an authentic Italian experience to everyone that walks through our door.”
He also said not only is the location optimal for this sort of venture, but the kitchen is a good enough place for the restaurant to grow.

“This site has the potential to be an iconic location, one that strong brands are built upon.”
Team: The executive chef is David Cavalier, formerly of Davidson’s kindred and the co-owners are Alberto Moreno, formerly of Atlanta’s Antico and Alinos Pizza in Mooresville, and Servet Guvenc who is known for making people feel at home at Capishe.
Menu: The new location will have the same delicious handmade pastas and 90-second pizzas (that are somehow soft but crispy at the same time) as the Dilworth location, but you can expect some additions to the pasta menu as well. The SouthPark location will also be doing meal deals for groups of four, six or eight people, catered toward pick up and delivery.
Layout: The 3,900-square-foot space will seat 110 inside and 30 outside. It features an outdoor patio, beer and wine bar and a larger kitchen to make room for catering and to-go service.
Expect a mid-October opening in SouthPark.
