Warby Parker, a trendy eyeglass and sunglass brand, is opening its second Charlotte location on Saturday in SouthPark Mall.
They opened in Atherton Mill in March 2017, and their only other North Carolina location is in Raleigh.
“We couldn’t be happier about our upcoming store in SouthPark,” Warby Parker co-founder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal told the Agenda. “We’re in great company when it comes to the shops, restaurants and businesses we’ll soon call neighbors. Our Charlotte customers make up a special community—some of them have been with us since the beginning. We’re excited to bring the Warby Parker experience to a second location that’s convenient for them.”
Grand opening details: The store officially opens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. To celebrate, they’re handing out free Warby Parker pins and free Jeni’s Ice Cream.
Glasses: Frames start at $95, and they have dozens of styles (seriously walls filled with specs and shades).
Exams: Unlike the Atherton location, the SouthPark Warby Parker has on-site comprehensive eye exams via an independent optometrist; exams starts at $115 and are an additional $65-$100 if you need a contact lens fitting. They’re doing walk-ins Saturday, but you can make appointments online.
Location: SouthPark Mall, by Fabletics and Origins. Park near Dick’s or the food court.
