Sycamore Brewing, the ultra popular spot in South End, has a new concept brewing – coffee. Beach Shack Coffee will debut this fall.
The coffee is infused in Sycamore’s Pumpkin Latte Blonde (made with pumpkin spices, sweet vanilla and cold-brewed Beach Shack Coffee) which they’re releasing this Saturday.
What: Offerings will include canned and kegged cold brew and freshly roasted beans for retail and wholesale, which will be available at Sycamore starting this fall.
How to buy: It’ll first be available at Sycamore’s South End taproom within the next few months. Beans, cold brew cans and draft will be available online, in stores and shops throughout North Carolin and South Carolina. Eventually, Sycamore Brewing plans to have its very own Beach Shack cafe.
Who’s roasting: Beach Shack coffee beans are hand selected and roasted by NCRLA Chef of the Year Matt Krenz. Sycamore managing member Justin Brigham told the Agenda that “adding a nationally renowned chef to the Beach Shack team has ensured delightfully complex and highly enjoyable coffee.”
Nonprofit tie: “Inspiration for Beach Shack came from a love for the ocean and the easier state of mind you are able to find when close to the water,” Justin said. “This love for the ocean goes beyond the aesthetic. A portion of all proceeds will go to nonprofits working to keep oceans and beaches clean and healthy for future generations.”
