Lost & Found, a cocktail lounge with rentable living room-style seating areas and giant TVs, will open on Saturday, Oct. 12 in South End.
It’s located at 332 West Bland St. between Seoul Food Meat Co. and Craft.
“We want to be the true nightlife destination in South End,” founder and designer Orlando Botero told the Agenda. “A lot of people will go out in South End until midnight and then head Uptown for the rest of the night. We want people to stay here. We’re excited to be a complement to Brickyard, Seoul, Gin Mill and those neighbors.”
The concept: Botero is quick to point out Lost & Found is not a nightclub. Although it’ll borrow some club scene elements — like VIP table reservations after 10 p.m. and tableside cocktail service — he describes it as an “elevated neighborhood bar.” They’ll have live music and DJs (but no dance floor) and TVs for sporting events. For big events like the Super Bowl, they’ve got big drop-down projector screens. There’s also a 1,000-square-foot outdoor patio with reservable sectionals and fire pits.
It’s a strategically Instagrammable space, and while sports might be playing on a big screen, you’ll never feel like you’re at a rowdy sports bar.
Cocktails: They’ll have 23 specialty cocktails, including White Claw spritzes, mules and martinis, made with house simple syrup infusions. They won’t be doing traditional club-like bottle service, but if you do buy a bottle for your table, a bartender will bring ingredients over to your table to make cocktails for you.
Reservations: Before 10 p.m., you can reserve space for free, and after 10 p.m. they’ll enforce a minimum spend depending on group size. You can also rent the elevated area for private events or do a full buyout for weddings, networking events, etc.
Membership: Membership is $1, and there are three types: resident, service industry and general. Orlando said residents are people within walking distance (about a quarter mile) and they’ll be hosting special events for that group as well as service industry workers.
Location & hours: 332 W. Bland St., Suite E. 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Friday and noon to 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday
