Krispy Kreme opened last week in Concord and features a newly redesigned store along with customizable doughnuts, doughnut milkshakes and doughnut ice cream sandwiches. Within the first 24 hours, the store did about $35,000 in sales according to a manager, setting a company record.
The following two days yielded roughly $57,000 in sales. Basically, Krispy Kreme Concord is killing it.
This is just one of 45 freshly designed shops Krispy Kreme will open across the country over the next 18 months.
“This new shop experience honors the heritage of Krispy Kreme while at the same time acknowledging and addressing the rising expectations of our customers,” said Andy Skehan, North America President at Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation. “From our time-tested process of producing the world’s most loved doughnuts to our new Original Glazed Doughnut infused ice cream, we’re very excited for what the future holds.”
The exact address is 8018 Concord Mills Blvd. and hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Doughnut Milkshakes: Just like a regular milkshake but made with doughnut infused ice cream and topped with a mini doughnut.
Doughnut Ice Cream Sandwiches: With a number of different toppings, it’s impossible not to try this new menu item.
Customizable Doughnuts: Yes, it’s true, and yes it’s awesome. While standing in line, there are notepads where you can design your very own doughnut. You can choose a three pack for $4.99 or a six pack for $8.99. You can choose from a selection of glazes, toppings and drizzles.
Doughnut Views: Seeing the doughnut making process has always been a large part of Krispy Kreme’s charm. In this new Concord location, they have kid-height windows and seating for all alongside the conveyor to see each step of the process.
