This dynamic role is ideal for a candidate who is competitive, growth-oriented and can serve as a valuable market expert for our emerging verticals. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the vertical market strategy and directly influencing the product integration strategy that will maximize our go-to-market (GTM) success. This market expert will collaborate across key internal stakeholders in our Growth Org and partner closely with Product Management to provide valuable market insights and launch new solutions.

You are a natural leader who will thrive in a dynamic environment where you will bring industry perspectives that will shape our roadmap and support growth objectives. You will need to develop new ideas that consider impact, our buyer needs and competitive influences. These opportunity assessments will include new integrations to complementary financial accounting/ERP systems, solution enhancements and partnerships in the market. You’ll need to evangelize these growth-oriented ideas, influence key stakeholders and help integrate these into our broader strategic planning.

You’ll be a key driver of GTM success where you develop the strategy and partner with several teams to ensure strong, coordinated launch execution aligned with growth goals. You will need to thrive in an environment where you need to be continuously providing insights and enablement that will help maximize our sales readiness and marketing effectiveness. You will be developing our key positioning and will ensure that our differentiated messaging is clearly understood by our teams and reflected across our collateral.

Ultimately, this role is about ensuring that we have a strategically aligned GTM plan that enables us to capture market share rapidly. • Market intelligence. Be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria.
• Understand the competitive landscape. Be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
• Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas.
• Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
• Develop a marketing plan for the products/verticals/markets you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.
• Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis and report back to the business on required changes.
• Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products and manage the cross-functional implementation of the product roadmap.
• Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support externally, including speaking engagements, blogs and other thought leadership.
• Understand and support our sales channels, train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users, develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it.

Experience and qualifications:
• 3+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience.
• BA/BS (preferably in business, marketing, finance or a related field), MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of product marketing and/or product management experience.
• Experience working for a software/technology or financial services company serving in markets such as health, financial services, education, retail, services, franchises and hospitality is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with Pragmatic Marketing or similar frameworks employed by leading product and product marketing teams.
• Excellent communicator and storyteller that can explain complex concepts concisely and articulate points of view persuasively.
• Analytical thinker that backs up points of view with meaningful data and has a high level of experience and skill with data analysis and tools.
• A team player with a strong ability and appetite for interacting with external and internal stakeholders and that takes pride in helping others succeed.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to support Go-To-Market (GTM) activities and perform customer research.
• Experience with leading accounting/ERP financial solutions (e.g. Oracle Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus.
• Experience working within financial technology software organizations is a plus.
