We’re thrilled to announce the expansion of our editorial team with two new hires. Please welcome Katie Peralta, former business reporter at The Charlotte Observer, and Michael Graff, former editor of Charlotte magazine, to Team Agenda.
Katie’s bylines have also appeared in Bloomberg, US News & World Report, Notre Dame Magazine and MarketWatch. A Midwest native, Katie enjoys traveling, cooking, fly fishing and Notre Dame football. She lives in NoDa with her boyfriend, Jesse, and pup, Cali.
Michael’s work has appeared in publications around the world — ESPN, The Guardian, Garden & Gun, POLITICO, The Oxford American, Success and Southwest. He’s also been a senior editor at Our State magazine, and he’s a die-hard believer in this city and North Carolina. He lives in Commonwealth Park with his Charlotte-native wife, Laura, and Charlotte-native mutt, Gizmo.
Katie will start on July 29 and Michael will start on September 3.
As our company and audience has grown over these last four years, so too has our responsibility to serve as a reliable, trusted resource for the city.
We are proud to continue delivering useful information in a conversational voice, and the addition of Katie and Michael will position us to deeply report out the most important news in our city. We’re very excited. If we execute well, we’ve got the opportunity to serve as a blueprint for what a sustainable modern local media company can look like in the United States.
Our mission remains the same — make Charlotte a smarter, better connected city.
