A new 22-unit townhouse community called Nandina Towns is being built at the corner of Central Avenue and Nandina Street in Plaza Midwood — expect it to be complete late 2020.
The exact address is 1800 Central Ave. — the corner of Central Avenue and Nandina Street, across from the Harris Teeter. It’s walking distance from Plaza Midwood hot-spots like Soul Gastrolounge, Common Market, Central Coffee and more.

Key features: Rooftop terraces; an access-controlled package delivery closet; unique design; bonus room upgrade options with private entry for home office or guest suite.
Interior: The interior features upgraded kitchens and baths with custom cabinets and other high end finishes. “We are targeting a buyer or renter who wants something different and more distinctive than what has typically been offered in the marketplace” said Chris Branch, Principal at developer Boulevard Real Estate Advisors. He also added that the architect, Tony Miller, did “a terrific job making our homes interesting architecturally” in away that adds to the eclectic and unique feel of Plaza Midwood. Chris’s vision: “One of the best compliments someone could give us is to look for one of our completed projects and not be able to find it because it fits in so well with the neighborhood. We hope that Nandina Towns will become such a project, one that fills in an existing gap with buildings that are at once both distinctive and familiar to the neighborhood.”
Parking: Each of the homes will have two parking spaces. The homes facing Central have a one-car garage with an additional parking space in a driveway directly behind it.
Timeline: Construction will begin in the third quarter of this year and will take approximately a year to complete — expect is to open late 2020.
Pricing: Pricing hasn’t been set, and the developer is not sure if they will be for rent or purchase yet.
