New 354-unit luxury apartment community featuring two pools, ground floor retail and rooftop wine vault is heading into Uptown.
Developer Northwood Ravin, in partnership with Northwestern Mutual, is scheduled to break ground next month on Uptown’s newest apartment community named 500 West Trade.
The mixed-use development will include 354 luxury apartments in a seven-story mid-rise building and a 14-story high-rise tower along with 8,500 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 3,600-square-foot retail courtyard fronting Trade Street.
“We are pleased to continue the trend of offering Uptown residents the very best in apartment living,” said David Ravin, President and CEO of Northwood Ravin which also owns and manages The VUE Charlotte along with six other apartment communities around our city.
Look for residents to move in in early 2021.
Location: It’s taking the place of the former Polk Building at the intersection of Trade and Graham in Uptown. It’s across from Murphy’s and the future Gateway Station redevelopment.
Pools: Residents will have access to two pools — one will be located on the third floor overlooking Trade Street and the other will be on the 14th floor with Uptown skyline views.
Amenities: 500 West Trade amenities will include an elevated business center overlooking Trade Street, private health club with exercise room, on-site dog spa, private fitness room, massage room and both men’s and women’s steam rooms and saunas. “500 West Trade will offer unique floorplans, unmatched indoor and outdoor amenities with spectacular views of Uptown, all within walking distance of everything that’s happening in Charlotte,” said Ravin.
Rooftop: Along with the pool, residents will have a rooftop lounge on the 14th floor with an outdoor kitchen and rooftop wine vault where residents can store their wine bottles or host tastings.
