Tudor revival is a distinct style of architecture that sounds out on any streetscape, and we love that the homeowners embraced this home’s original bones. It earns our pick for best modern tudor concept.
The home: 4,100 square feet, 5 beds, 5.5 baths
Style in 3 words: Updated Classic Tudor
Biggest splurge and/or best investment: We like to entertain, so either the outdoor living area or the audio/video system.
“The home was originally built in 1925, and the exterior structure/bones of the house are still original (it even had the original electrical and plumbing that we had to remove). We bought this from a spec builder that was going to rip the house down and build a typical box house in its place, but we instead worked to maintain the original roof lines and amazing architectural features of the house, while modernizing the interior floorplan and adding modern outdoor living areas. The result is a great house, that still fits seamlessly on a prominent lot as it was originally designed to do almost 100 years ago. ” – The homeowner
