Our top  pick for best interior design is this tastefully glam mega bungalow in Cramer’s Pond (Plaza Midwood).

The home: 3,735 square feet, 4 beds, 4.5 baths

Style in 3 words: Eclectic, rustic, glam

Biggest splurge and/or best investment: The outdoor living package, which included a pool, covered terrace, fire place and outdoor shower.

“This was the first custom home to be built in Cramer’s Pond and it set the expectation with rich, progressive and timeless designs. The home could blend in with some of Plaza Midwood’s mega bungalows on The Plaza. Newer ideas such as the swooping roof lines that literally cut through windows, the master bedroom floating over the porte cochere with exposed timbers that also provides three wall planes of multiple windows, and the contoured master bath with copper soaking tub speak to the progressive elements. However, the oversized windows and doors, the large roof overhangs and towering brick chimney speak to the timeless mega bungalow finishes. The home has really elevated the expectation of what Cramer’s Pond is becoming.” – Grandfather Homes

The painted brick with custom stained lap siding is the homeowner’s favorite feature. The stained siding provides a tremendous contrasting use of materials and a very clean yet appropriately aged appearance.
