The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for building Lowe’s Innovation Labs’ holistic brand identity, developing and executing internal and external communications strategies and establishing processes that build our culture, define areas of focus and infuse everything we do with creativity and long-term market relevance. Being part of the Lowe’s Innovation Labs Ecosystem group, this individual will lead with an “outside in” perspective, leaning on insights gleaned from external partners and market research to ensure our innovation and brand strategies truly reflect what’s next for home improvement retail.
What you will do:
This individual is responsible for Lowe’s Innovation Labs’ brand identity and our internal and external marketing strategy, ensuring both are optimized to drive in-bound partnership requests, earned media results and traffic/demand for Lowe’s Innovation Labs proofs-of-concepts. The Senior Brand Manager manages internal communication activities, ensuring alignment with strategy and marketing at the Lowe’s Enterprise level. Working with the support of a Marketing & Events Manager, she/he will manage our holistic event/conference strategy, participate in speaking engagements and work with executives at external technology companies, startups and other institutions to maximize the value of co-sponsored innovation opportunities.
In addition to brand strategy, the Senior Brand Manager is responsible for developing processes and programming that build Lowe’s Innovation Labs’ internal culture and innovation focus areas. She/he will develop and lead processes that guide the team’s innovation priorities and strategic narratives, that enable collaboration amongst the broader Lowe’s Innovation Labs team and that maximize the quality and relevance of our creative output. This individual will be expected to lead workshops and generate creative approaches to spur informed ideation and big picture thinking among the broader team.
Who you are:
The Senior Brand Manager will possess strong analytical skills, an innate ability to translate complex technical concepts into customer-friendly language and iconography, a passion for developing creative strategies, concepts, tactical executions, a deeply held passion for technology in his/her daily life, a deep understanding of marketing/media KPIs and the ability to switch between strategic planning and on-the-ground execution without issue.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, working cross-functionally across the organization to deliver results, partnering with senior executives at external technology and marketing organizations to develop programming and leading team members to execute against a common vision.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 10+ years of business experience.
• 6+ years of experience working on/leading projects.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams with or without direct reports.
• 3+ years of marketing experience.
• Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
• Ability to thrive in a startup-like environment and deliver results.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Public speaking and/or workshop leadership experience.
• Experience directing creative output.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
