A 328,000-square-foot 11-story mixed-use project is underway in Ballantyne. The exact address is 13146 Ballantyne Corporate Place near the Aloft hotel.
The mixed-use project is meant to deliver an elevated work experience in Ballantyne — along the lines of the eat, work, play, stay lifestyle. The first 10 floors will include offices with floor-to-ceiling windows, and the top floor will be an amenity space with a rooftop terrace.
Plans are also in place for a luxury apartment high rise from Northwood Ravin.
Who’s behind it: “Northwood Development will manage the office project, working with architectural firm LS3P Associates and general contractor Rodgers Builders,” according to a statement from the Northwood Office.
Amenities: The top level includes a rooftop terrace with indoor and outdoor entertainment and gathering space. You can expect tables, seating, a fire pit, audio/visual capabilities and more. A 2,500-square-foot fitness facility will be on the first floor, and there will be 9,000 square feet of collaboration and event space throughout.

Timeline: The offices should be done early 2021.
Why it matters: Ballantyne corporate park as well as The Ballantyne hotel was acquired by Northwood for more than $1 billion two years ago. This is the first big new project from Northwood and gives us a look into Ballantyne’s future that could have more density and residential units — giving it an eat, live, work, play setup.
