More than a dozen of Charlotte’s best-dressed women have cleaned out their wardrobes, and are hosting a huge “pre-loved” designer clothing sale in Myers Park called the EDIT this Thursday through Saturday.

From Ulla Johnson to Valentino, these Capitol- and Poole Shop-loving ladies (who didn’t want to be named) will be selling more than 600 pieces combined.

“We’re just people who love fashion. We kind of move on at the end of each season,” one of the event’s three founders told me. “But what we’re selling, it’s stuff that’s still beautiful. We want to pass it on to other people who love fashion. … We all end up buying stuff at the show, too.”

Most pieces have only been worn a handful of times and are three years old or newer. You won’t find anything with major wear or defects — it’s all clothing that’s in style and in great condition.

“We have people asking for this sale,” one woman told me. “Once we started it, people have loved it.”

History: Three women with seriously killer closets started the EDIT sale last spring, because they wanted to make room in their closets for new pieces. They also knew the “pre-loved” clothing they were ready to depart with was still stylish and could be worn by someone else. The sale started by word of mouth, and this will be the fifth time they’ve done it. People literally line up for it, one of the women said.

How it works: Once you arrive at the sale, you’ll walk through a gate which will be manned by a security guard. There will racks outside and throughout the two-story (gorgeously staged) guest house.

Items are sorted by price, so if you’re getting something from outside or on the first floor you’ll have to purchase it there, and if you’re eyeing something on the second floor, you’ll have to buy it there.

They’ll have seven racks with clothing under $50 (including gently worn MOTHER Denim for $20-$30) and several more with items priced $51-$200 downstairs and all items upstairs are $200-$2,500.

Location and hours: The sale is in the guest house (around back) of 1711 Brandon Road in Myers Park. They’re open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Inventory: They have tons of dresses, denim, heels, flats, bags, coats and more — and plenty of items are unworn with tags.

Everything included in the sale is fit for fall and winter (there are only a few summer dresses, but they can easily be accessorized as we transition to fall).

Designers/brands: Ulla Johnson, Valentino, Gucci, Chloe, Isabel Marant, Marc Jacobs, Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Sea NY, Frame and more.

Sizes: 2-10 clothing size, 6-10 shoe size

Discounts: I scoped out the inventory yesterday, and the discounts are steep. I was eyeing a pair of Valentino flats that run somewhere around $1,000 full-price but they’re $300 at the EDIT sale. I also spied a Zimmermann dress from the resort collection with the tags still on— retail $695, EDIT sale $200.

Keep in mind, these items were originally purchased from incredibly high-end retailers — you’re getting a really good deal, but don’t expect TJ Maxx prices.

Check them out: Since so many women contribute to the sale, they started an Instagram to keep all the happenings in one spot.
