Wooden Robot, the well-respected South End brewery, will soon open an additional location in NoDa.
This new location will be named “The 36th Chamber by Wooden Robot,” both a nod to the location at 36th Street and the incredible debut album from Wu-Tang Clan.
Construction has already begun and Wooden Robot CEO Josh Patton told the Agenda that they’re aiming for a spring grand opening.
The 36th Chamber by Wooden Robot will be located in the NOVEL NoDa development right off the 36th Street light rail station. Asana Partners has also signed Novant Health, Barre Code Fitness, Rush Bowls, Idlewild (cocktails) and Salon Lofts for the NOVEL NoDa development.
Inside, you’ll find 2,700 square feet of space including a giant bar that’ll serve all your Wooden Robot favorites like Good Morning Vietnam. But, the main focus will likely be the 6,000 square feet of outdoor space that’ll consist of a ground floor patio and rooftop patio that’ll have its own bar.
In addition to their new location in NoDa, Wooden Robot is also expanding its space in South End.
The taproom will expand into the 3,000-square-foot space next door formerly occupied by Park It.
Wooden Robot will also likely move more of the brewing operations to NoDa and convert Park It’s parking spaces into patio — thus creating a patio all the way from its current location down to Brass Tap.
Expect this expansion to be complete in late summer or early fall.
