The Chamber, Wooden Robot’s new NoDa location with a rooftop beer garden, is gearing up to open next week at 36th Street Station.
An official grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, June 29, but they’ll begin rolling out friends and family and soft opening events in the next week or so.
The taproom and production facility, named as a subtle nod to Wu-Tang Clan’s debut studio album, joins a growing lineup of tenants at the light rail-adjacent NOVEL NoDa development, including Idlewild, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Rush Bowls and Barre Code Fitness.
The 5,700-square-foot space includes another 6,000 square feet of outdoor space split between a front patio and rooftop bar.
Inside is a large bar with 48 taps and a roll-up garage window for service to the front patio.
While there’s not a full brewery operation on site, The Chamber will showcase the production of Wooden Robot’s wood program, including barrel-aged sours and funky farmhouse-style ales.
Rows of wine and spirit barrels separate the taproom from the production floor where you’ll find four gorgeous 40-barrel oak foeders.
Upstairs, a sprawling rooftop deck with its own eight-tap bar will be a major draw.
They’ve got a mix of picnic tables with umbrellas (extremely necessary in the summer heat) and lounge furniture.
The Chamber is located at 416 E. 36th Street. Check out the Facebook event for grand opening details.
