Capishe, a fast-casual Italian restaurant from the founder of Salsarita’s, opens today at 500 E. Morehead St.

The brain behind the operation is Bruce Willette, the founder of Salsarita’s – a popular “fresh-Mex” chain based in Charlotte. The team also consists of talent with experience at Kindred and Aliño’s, so they’re not messing around.

This fast-casual Italian concept offers a focused menu of nine Neapolitan-style pizzas (red and white options), six handmade pastas, four sandwiches (with made from scratch bread), four salads and a handful of small plates and desserts.

Everything is handmade, fresh and fast — the neapolitan pizza only cooks for 90-120 seconds in the oven.

Prices are all very reasonable with most items under $10 (a very cool strategy). Opening hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the exact address is 500 E. Morehead St., Suite 100.
