The job:
The Humane Society of Charlotte is seeking a qualified applicant for our Special Events Manager position. This position is primarily responsible for the management and oversight of HSC’s annual special events. You’ll work with our Development Department, along with other areas of staff and volunteers to build, grow and ensure the success of our annual events and third party events. This role has a prominent fundraising aspect, so candidates must be comfortable with approaching both individuals and companies for sponsorship and other support. Who you are:
Qualified candidates will possess enthusiasm for the mission of the Humane Society of Charlotte, a bachelor’s degree and at least 2-4 years of nonprofit, special event and/or marketing experience. A proven track record of success in managing large scale events is also required.
