The job:
Seeking an enthusiastic, professional individual to join the Shain Gallery team. Located in the Myers Park area of Charlotte, NC, we are proud to say we have been placing art in the community and internationally for over 20 years. Shain Gallery serves a discriminating clientele of regional homeowners and corporations and represents over forty different nationally and regionally acclaimed artists. We offer consultation and acquisition assistance, an annual schedule of exhibitions and welcome clients who are just beginning to collect art and those who have been collecting for years. We are looking for a new employee who seamlessly fits into the gallery team and drives sales in a friendly and professional manner.
Details
• Seeking Full-time employee.
• Gallery experience is a plus.
• Gallery hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.
• Must be available on Saturdays.
• Must be available after regular gallery hours for artist shows and special events.

Responsibilities include:
• Interacting with customers, over the phone, email and walk-ins.
• Updating website.
• Updating the blog.
• Organizing and handling artwork.
• Installations.
• Building rapport with artists and clients alike.
• Various other tasks as necessary.

Requirements:
• Must have the ability to close sales, stay organized and keep a positive attitude.
• Strong negotiation skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of the contemporary art market is a must.
• Computer skills desirable.
• Heavy lifting required.
• Must be exceptional at multi-tasking and have a strong memory.
