Marketing Specialist

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the execution of Marketing and Communications, Business Development strategies and/or a specific marketing function for the local market. Daily responsibilities may include general Marketing and Communications efforts, pitch and proposal strategy, creative strategy, as well as creating, designing and developing, material as needed. This position will collaborate with the local and corporate Marketing teams to execute strategic vision of special projects and pitches/presentations as requested by fee-earners and broader Service Delivery teams. The Marketing Specialist is ultimately accountable for providing fee-earners with an exceptional level of marketing support and expertise.

Key responsibilities include:
Business development

• Oversee all aspects of the pitch and/or proposal coordination.
• Manage incoming requests from fee-earners or collect information and scope of services pertinent to the request.
• Coordinate strategy sessions and pitch/proposal support from Research, Operations and fee-earners based on scope of services, client history and level of effort/expertise required for pitch and/or proposal.
• Manage pitch and/or proposal strategy and process.
• Write population of proposal and review with fee-earners and key responsible affiliates.
• Facilitate review of materials and address any feedback from fee-earners and key responsible affiliates.
• Ensure the delivery of a clean final product to fee-earner or client.
• Download results of pitch and document comments.
Design support
• Support requirements of incoming requests from fee-earners as it relates to creative support.
• Developing materials to communicate critical messages and key selling propositions.
• Developing and overseeing all creative aspects of production and quality control.
• Coordinating production of materials, including gathering printing bids, packaging artwork and assembling final layouts for printers, preparing notes and instructions for printers and other vendors.
• Design and format bespoke marketing materials including property brochures, proposals, presentation boards, flyers, postcards, newsletters and event invitations.
• Design or apply standard templates to support the local business, update as necessary,
Property level analytics
• Work with fee-earner or Associate to creatively translate required data into an easily understandable end product.
• Design work for client deliverables, including offering memorandums, tour books, fliers, etc.
General marketing
• Execute marketing and communications plan to support the local marketing and business objectives.
• Coordinate and manage press opportunities for local market, including content development required to support corporate PR strategy.
• Evaluate, plan and manage local market brand awareness and engagement by leveraging various social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
• Demonstrate a high level of creative development and production skill.
• Produce creative collateral to support the business, ensuring alignment with company’s brand positioning from concept to final product, utilize available creative programs.
• Managing creative requirements, expectations and deadlines for all projects.
• Prioritize total workload and communicate to internal customers priority, progress, deadlines and outstanding questions regularly.
• Manage local internal and external events as required.

Reporting relationship:
• Solid line to Director of Market Operations.

Background and experience:
Demonstrated experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications or related discipline preferred.
• 3-5+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of marketing and communications disciplines.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate industry preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting all associated advertising, PR, events and business development activities in compliance with corporate guidelines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with high-end graphics, marketing or production environment and/or real estate background a plus.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally and educationally diverse environment.
