Director of Development, Major Gifts & Planned Giving

We are currently seeking a Director of Development, Major Gifts & Planned Giving to lead the cultivation of a congregational culture of faith and generosity through the solicitation of major gifts, planned giving and development of funds in capital campaigns. MPPC is looking for an experienced and creative candidate who will assist in the creation of strategic fundraising initiatives and goals, prepare disciples for fundraising visits, provide ongoing management and coaching and coordinate and support lay leadership in planning and executing annual giving campaigns. During the last Annual Campaign, we raised over $5.6 million and raised $2.9 million in new gifts, pledges and future support. MPPC offers industry leading compensation and a full benefits package.
Who we are looking for:
This integral member of our organization should be service-oriented and driven to create the best possible experiences for our donors, prospects, volunteers and staff. This position will work closely and in conjunction with the Stewardship Council to prepare stewardship goals and plans for development of funding resources consistent with church mission, vision and strategies.
• Have at least a Bachelor’s Degree with a proven track record in developing planned and major gifts, including experience with or exposure to a successful development organization.
• He/She should have familiarity with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and be comfortable with its theological/ethical commitments.
• In addition, he/she should be an active participant in a Christian church, practicing ministry and mission of Christ and be familiar with teachings of scripture on stewardship and discipleship.
