Fuel Pizza at Park Road Shopping Center is now closed.

This is the latest of many Park Road Shopping Center closings, including the movie theater that closed in December.

Unlike the 6-screen Park Terrace Theater, which generated 4,500 signatures on a petition to save the theater, many people are happy to see Fuel Pizza replaced (view Agenda Instagram comments).

Edens, the owner of Park Road Shopping Center, continues a methodical transformation of the development.

It looks like CAVA, a growing Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant, will take the space formerly occupied by Fuel. I’ve never eaten at one of their 30+ restaurants, but it looks like a Zoe’s meets YAFO concept with healthy salads, grain bowls, pitas, and house-made juices.

In a savage move, CAVA already put a Google Map pin on top of Fuel Pizza on their site.

Side note for Park Road Shopping Center lovers like myself — Shake Shack construction is moving faster now and they’re targeting a March opening next to Burton’s.
